Let’s first start by understanding what GRE actually is. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a test that allows candidates to apply for master’s and doctorate degree programmes at universities across the United States, Canada, and a few other countries. Educational Testing Service (ETS) administers the test, which was founded by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in 1939. GRE scores range from 200 to 800 and are based on a candidate’s verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking abilities.
The GRE consists of two types of tests: the GRE subject test (subjects include physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, psychology, and English literature) and the GRE general test (subjects include physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, psychology, and English literature) (Analytical Writing Assessment, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning).
Both the computer-based and paper-based versions of the GRE general test are different. Paper-based tests are not available to everyone; they are only given in locations where computer-based exams are inaccessible. Only a paper-based version of the GRE subject test is offered. The test is available at more than 1000 locations in 160 countries around the world.
The GRE exam procedures starts at the following dates

GRE Eligibility Criteria
It’s good to note that there are no basic eligibility requirements for GRE applicants in terms of age or education in order to submit the GRE 2022 application form. To be allowed to the examination centre, individuals only need a valid passport as proof of identity. Candidates must, however, meet the admission requirements of their chosen graduate institutions without fail when submitting their applications. Although the GRE’s eligibility criteria are somewhat flexible, graduate schools are generally interested in students who want to pursue a post-graduate or doctoral degree. They also look for applicants with a few years of job experience and a bachelor’s degree.
