The Caribbean Explorer II is the ideal way to experience the tropical islands and coastlines of the Caribbean. From snorkeling and scuba diving, to kayaking and fishing, the Caribbean Explorer II Liveaboard has something for everyone. Divers with just 30 logged dives are welcome onboard.
The Caribbean Explorer II is a 35m aluminum mono-hulled motor yacht liveaboard that can accommodate up to 18 guests. This vessel offers spacious and comfortable cabins, a large sun deck, and a variety of dining options. After each dive, you’ll come back to a relaxed environment where you can kick back and enjoy the comfort.

The cruise will take you from St. Maarten to explore the little known but diverse underwater world of Saba – a tiny volcanic island that is actually part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. From there it’s on to the Federation St. Kitts and Nevis.
A typical day will involve 4 scuba dives. Saba’s volcanic origins make for some very interesting geological formations below the water, like lava tunnels, underwater hot springs, spur and groove formations, and sheer walls. You can expect to find unspoiled coral life and abundant fish life: schools of blue tangs, Nassau groupers, horse-eyed jacks, wahoo, turtles, tarpons, barracuda, and of course a variety of sharks. Whale sharks and hammerheads are most frequently sighted by lucky divers from January to March. Manta rays, whales and dolphins are also sometimes sighted.
There are many dive sites around St. Kitts that offer both reefs and wrecks that are easily accessible for scuba divers of all levels and experiences. All dives are made from the liveaboard itself (not a tender). Currents are generally mild, and you can expect very good visibility in both locations which makes for easy diving.
Breakfast is the usual fare of eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast, muffins, danish and fresh fruit. Lunches vary from soup and sandwiches, burgers, pasta, assorted salads, and quiche. Dinner usually consists of lots of fresh vegetables, rice, pasta, chicken, beef, turkey, pork and fish. Homemade baked bread, cookies and brownies are offered between dives.
During the sunset, you can experience the tranquility of the lagoons, mangroves, and stunning sunsets, a enjoy a free drink from the onboard open-air bar.

These cruises run between St. Maarten and St. Kitts on alternating weeks. Please ensure that you have the appropriate visas to visit both St. Maarten and St. Kitts and Nevis. Air France and KLM operate flights to St. Maarten from Paris and Amsterdam. For USA departures, Delta, Jet Blue and American Airlines fly into St. Maarten. Airlines that fly into St. Kitts include Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways and US Airways. Winward Island Airways has flights between St. Maarten and St. Kitts.
