Five Ultimate Movie Villains of All Times

Villains are the most despised characters universally, be it a movie, a book series, or a comic. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry likes it when the hero saves the day, and overthrows the bad guy. But most people overlook the fact that if there was no antagonist, what would be the need of a protagonist? Can you imagine what Harry Potter movies would be like without Lord Voldemort?  Probably, just another sappy high school drama with a little sorcery. [Thank God that’s not the case.]

Ultimate Movie Villains

To show our admiration to some of the greatest movie villains of all times, we made this list. Here are the most daunting, spookiest bad guys of all times:

1. Hannibal Lecter, Silence Of The Lambs

No villain is as gruesome as Hannibal Lecter. Why you ask? Firstly, no one knows that he is a bad guy; in fact, he sometimes helps the police catch other killers. Secondly, seemingly calm and good-natured, Lecter is a coiled spring of rage that no one knows about. And thirdly, he is a freaking cannibal! That’s right; Lecter won’t just kill you, he will also remove your organs, cook them up in exotic spices and eat them.

2. Joker, The Dark Knight

He is the ultimate nemesis. This schizophrenic clown has a sadistic edge and likes to wreak havoc just for the sake of creating chaos. He is a mass-murderer, and has no empathy for anyone. Albeit being a psychopath, he has his own philosophy about life, which makes him one of the most quotable villains ever.

3. Norman Bates, Psycho

Norman is a guy who is scary only when he dresses up like an old woman. You will find nothing peculiar about Norman Bates until he puts on a dress and an old lady wig and charges at you wielding a knife.

4. Kayako Saeki, The Grudge

As if her pale, chalky appearance wasn’t creepy enough, to add to it she has a knack for randomly popping out of the most unanticipated places. Along with this, she is seemingly boneless and crawls down the stairs face-first, staring at you with one bugged-out eye, her gaping mouth emitting a voice like a creaky door. Her first entrance in the movie is sure to send chills down your spine.

5. Freddy Krueger, A Nightmare on Elm Street

The only reason why Freddy isn’t high up on this list is because of all the overacting. Otherwise that burnt face morphing out of a wall or ceiling and those horrid claws prodding out of your chest from the inside are enough to strike fear in anyone.

It was hard to choose just five, since there are numerous fictional ‘psychos’ out there, but in our opinion, if there was a trophy titled “The Scariest Creep”, these five would be absolutely nominated for it.
