It is speculated to be a golden year for the Hollywood industry and rightly so. Many of the movie franchises that have created a buzz in the Hollywood are expected to return on the screens in 2015. Fantastic Four is a highly popular series and the idea of releasing another sequel of it has created a wave of excitement among the fans. Watching the discontentment of the fans, the distributor of the movie 20th century Fox has reportedly gone on to use the method of Warner Bros: Reboot. 2. The Avengers: Age of Ultron – May 1, 2015

With the new Avengers franchise, the writer and director Joss Whedon is making a re-appearance for Marvel and Disney’s, “The Avengers: Age of Ultron”. The cast is not unperturbed much and it features Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth in the lead roles. The Avengers movie released in the year 2012 broke off all the records and went on to become one of the highest grosser of the year 2012. There are chances that its sequel will overcome the records already set by its predecessor. The shooting is expected to start by early 2014. The villain of the movie has been confirmed and it will be Ultron and James Spader has been rumored to be roped in to play this role. Apart from Ultron, there are two more superhero characters set to join the ranks of others in the film. These additions have come in the form of Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch. However, the casting for these roles has not been done yet but there are speculations of Elizabeth Olsen playing the role of the Scarlett Witch.

3. Jurassic World – June 12, 2015

Jurassic Park is an epic and who does not know about this movie. Jurassic World is another sequel to the very popular franchise that will be released in the year 2015. This news was out in the open on Tuesday. The last edition of this movie “Jurassic Park 3” was released back in 2001 and since then, the fans have been eagerly waiting for the next version of this franchise. So they will be treated in the year 2015. However, the info about this movie has not been received by the experts and journalists. All we know is that the movie’s title will be “Jurassic world” and it will be released on June 12, 2015. 4. Terminator 5 – June 26, 2015

Terminator franchise has always been a high earner. However the last versions of this movie have not done well with the fans and the critics. The producers of the movie have not settled on to make the movie in the reboot style. There are reports that it will be made by Paramount, Annapurna and Skydance pictures. Since the movie will be a reboot, there are high chances that it will take resemblance to the earlier episodes of Terminator franchise. The script will be jotted down by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. If the reports are to  be believed, Alan Taylor is set to direct the film. The biggest question about the movie  is whether Arnold Schwarzenegger be involved with the project. The producers are very well aware of the popularity of Arnold and how it could fare their movie on the box office. Hence, several efforts are being made to rope in Arnold to play the film lead. Although nothing has been clear yet and the producers have chosen to keep quiet.

5. Independence Day 2 – July 3, 2015

Independence day 2 is set to hit the screens in the year 2015 as the sequel of the popular franchise Independence day. The director of the first edition, Ronald Emmerich is said to direct the second version too. The actors that have been revived from the first version are Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman. There are rumors that Will Smith is also expected to return to the screen with this film. Earlier it was expected that Will Smith would not be a part of the project because of issues with the producers but the news that he will be a part of the movie has pushed the release of the movie a bit further. However, it has sent a wave of excitement among the fans.

6. Batman & Superman (Man of Steel sequel) – July 17, 2015

The sequel of Man of Steel is expected to hit the theaters in the year 2015. This announcement was made by the director of the movie itself, Zack Synder. After the announcement, a lot of news has emerged out. There are rumors that Ben Affleck will be a part of this movie and play the role of a Batman. This news has disappointed many fans than not. There are also speculations of Bryan Cranston being cast as Lex Luthor in the film. Warner Bros are expected to shoot the film in the areas of Detroit and Michigan. This decision has been taken due to tax incentives.

There is no news about the story and screenplay of the movie. Though there are reports that it will be penned down by David S Goyer. Synder is expected to play a part in writing the screenplay too. 7. James Bond 24 – November 6, 2015

Sony Pictures’ last James Bond film, “Skyfall” has registered itself to be the highest grossing James Bond movies ever made. It earned 1.1 billion USD worldwide. This film was received to be one of the highest earning movies of all time by making a business of 103 million euros. The business of this movie in the US was also commendable and it earned whopping 304 million USD in its entire theatrical run. The director of “Skyfall” opted out of the next James Bond movie, but he has been finally convinced by the producers and his decision to direct the next version has spread a wave happiness among the fans. This decision had been made by Sam in July. Now the next James Bond film is expected to hit the theaters in the year 2015 without any further delay.

8. Finding Dory – November 25, 2015

The sequel to the successful blockbuster “Finding Nemo” is set to be released in the holiday season of 2015. It will be directed by Andrew Stanton, the original director of the first version of the film. He has also directed movies like WALL-E and John Carter. The voice of Dory and Marlin will be given by Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks respectively.  The story details have not been leaked about this film. 9. Star Wars: Episode VII – TBA, 2015

Star Wars: Episode VII is a product of rumors and there is nothing concrete about the movie that has surfaced so far. There are chances that the movie be pushed to 2016 instead of a release in the year 2015. The only news that is clear now is that J.J. Adams is directing the movie. The script has been jotted down by Michael Arndt and the movie is expected to be shot in Los Angeles. This decision is taken based on the desire of J.J Abrams to spend time with his family in LA.  There are reports that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will be an important part of the film.
